Viewing Workbench Tax Calculation Details

Menu > Workbench > (Any Tab) > Results

When you click the Results button in the Selected Scenario section of the Workbench page, you will see tax calculation details for the most recently submitted version of the scenario.

You click the plus or minus icon on the authority section, you can expand or collapse the messages. By default, the messages are expanded as you see in the example.

Cookies remember the display behavior of the System and Authority Messages. If you collapse one or both messages, they will be collapsed the next time the page is viewed.

Field Reference
Scenario Section
View Results	Shows the scenario line number of the results you want to view. Results are organized by line, with one line appearing at a time. To change lines, simply choose a different line number from the View Results list.
Gross Amount	The gross amount applied for this line.
Eff %	The effective rate for this line.
Zone	The Zone for this tax result.
Authority	The Authority for this tax result.
Invoice Desc.	An optional Invoice Description returned by the rule that generated this tax result.
Type	The Tax Type applied by the rule.
Dir	The tax direction, applicable to VAT results only. I indicates Input tax; O indicates Output tax.
Fee	The fee used to generate the tax amount. May be a flat fee or a fee on quantity, depending on the rate.
Rate	The rate used to generate the tax amount.
Tax Amt	The actual tax amount for this row.
TT	Tax Treatment. Blank: No special tax treatment. D: Deferred. DI: Deferred invoice. DP: Deferred payment. W: Withholding tax treatment. For more information about special tax treatments, see Deferred Taxes.
IT	Inclusive Tax. If blank, no inclusive taxes are included in this result. If I, Inclusive taxes are included in this result. For more information, see Inclusive Taxes.
Authority Messages Section
Authority	The authority owning the returned message.
RuleOrder	The rule order for the rule generating the message.
Message	The message code and text returned.
System Messages Section
Code	The message code.
Message	The message text.
